Ollie is a stunning fellow…..elegant and handsome with 3 lovely rhythmical paces. He is a laid back individual and easy to handle on the ground, he’s not matey and stands happily at the float or in the tie ups for hours.
His eventing competition career has only just begun in the last few weeks with a 65 start at Bodangora Horse Trials and and 80 start last weekend at Equestriad. He was super cool at both events. Despite a very green run off at a skinny brush out of the water at equestriad, I really rate this horse as an event horse for the big time. He scores well in the dressage….well over 70%, he is a careful and thoughtful jumper, and feels super confident and capable in the cross country phase. He is not spooky cross country and seems to really enjoy his work. He has FEI level eventing stamped all over him.
He does require a rider who is both insightful and assertive as he does tend to lose concentration at times during his work sessions and needs to be reminded to stay in the moment!! With the right rider he will go a long way….a definite prospect for a professional.
