Unfortunately we have to let Rose our beautiful Girl go, as unforeseen circumstances have arisen which means I don’t have the time she deserves to be spent with her.
She is delightful mare, although I’m biased. Always happy to see you, very eager to work and is quite responsive to what you're asking. She is also happy just to walk nicely if you prefer a quieter ride. She wasn’t worked much or very often before I brought her and I wish I was able to put a lot more time into her beyond an immediate sort of level, and although she has had novice riders when I've been there to assist, it has been limited to roundyard and the arena when riding without huge amount of distractions. During the time I've spent trying to see what bits have been left from her ex trotter background I've noticed on occasion she can slip into a trotter pace rather instead of a canter when I'm asking her to go up a notch, but easily moves out with either another urging onwards or slowing her back down. This has been the only real point of note that I've come across in my time with her, and I try to cover as much about both good and not so good aspects I've seen, found or noticed during my experience with her to help in finding the right person. She wasn’t fast enough for the trots which is why her previous owner had her but she wasnt being ridden much and sat in a small mud soaked paddock before I had her.
She leads well, tacks up without issue and comes with her halter, lead rope, newly brought mesh blanket, and an older stock saddle, a couple of new girths, nice western style bridle I purchased especially for her along with her other gear and bits and pieces which alone would be close to $1k worth.
Ive only had to float her the once, and I haven't managed to do any additional float work as it took a little bit of patience, and some hard feed to get onboard. I would always be there to help her be moved and would make sure she was able to float without dramas depending on what was needed.
She has been agisted at a very nice property in middle swan with WIWO stables, turned in and out into large paddocks, both alone, next to or with other horses including a mare, gelding and a colt so she gets mixed company without having any issues. Has no cribbing or wind sucking behaviours. Handled daily and never had any issues regardless of who is moving her.
It’s very sad to sell her and we want her to only go to a good home. Happy to answer any questions you may have. $1000 for her and all she comes with so I can least know it’s someone who will want to look after her.
