Project gelding for very experienced home only!: Born September 2009 - Andalusian x TB - for very confident and experienced home only

He is a lovely type and always gets comments on how beautiful he is. He is a good doer, does well in any climate and has great feet. The farrier has said if all horses feet were like his he would be out of a job. He is super easy to catch and will meet you at the gate if not come cantering up to the gate when he sees your car arrive.

He is tricky to handle and ride. He has old injuries on his hind legs which have not affected his soundness but are ugly. He is difficult to load onto the float but once on travels well. I have seen him improve under professional trainers and riders but haven't been able to maintain the results myself so I have decided to move him on. He can be spooky and distracted especially if not worked consistently. He needs someone with the capability to show him the right way is easy and the wrong way is hard. Unfortunately he can be very exuberant when he spooks or gets distracted and I have been unable to do this consistently myself. He is a big, strong horse and will carry on if your not able to work through this. When he decides to put his big boy pants on and work you can see how nice he could be but you need to be able to get through the hard work that needs to be done to get there. I have persisted with him as I can see a good horse but have to be honest with myself in that he is not for me. I could spend more thousands on trainers and he would still not be the right horse for me but I'm hoping there is someone out there he could be right for. He has never competed and has only been out to one 2 day clinic which he floated out there each day. He was fairly well behaved for the clinic especially as it was his first time out.

Home is more important than price and the new home must be fully aware that he can be and will be difficult. He does have a great, fun character and if I had my own place I would keep him as my mate but because I want a horse I can ride and it's too expensive to agist 2 I need to find him a new home.
