TALENTED SCHOOLMASTER: AWHA registered Warmblood gelding, 14 years old 17hh. Abbadaire Domatacus (Maddie) has impressive bloodlines on both sides with his sire being the warmblood stallion Domingo who is by Daktylus and the dam being Stirling Ladybird who is by Ludendorf.

Maddie is a big moving athletic horse with a huge floating trot, smooth springy canter & bold jump. In the dressage arena he has numerous wins, champions & places from his outings. He is currently competing elementary dressage with scores up to 64% and is training medium with all medium movements including half passe & flying changes established.

In the show-ring he always catches the judges eye and boasts multiple wins, champions & reserve champion placings from both breed classes & in the hunter hack ring. With his solid bone, correct conformation, flowing trot & bold jump he is the ideal hunter hack & working hunter horse. He has been actively competed in the 2017 show season with excellent results & is fully prepped for the 2018 season.

He has a bold athletic jump and has jumped up to a metre ten and is showing potential to go much higher. He has competed in horse trials in South East Qld with wins & places from all his outings. His dressage scores are always 70+%. He has a powerful jump and is easy to manoeuvre around the showjumping ring and remains attentive to his rider. He is a pleasure to ride on cross-country and shifts gears up and back like a pro, and with his ground-covering canter making the ideal time is a breeze. He is happy to jump into water, isn’t bothered by boggy patches and does not shy at anything or get strong.

He is good to ride out in traffic, on the beach or on trails. He can be ridden out alone or in company. He is good to catch, worm, have his feet trimmed, float, rug etc. He is a kind natured horse who has good ground manners and is sensitive to the aids. He has no vices and is as well behaved in public as he is at home. He has been ridden by a variety of riders from competent beginners through to more experienced riders and is always well behaved.

His behaviour is impeccable both in and out of work. He is good to get back on after a break and does not need to be lunged or “worked down” after a few days or even weeks off. At comps you can just get on and ride him and his behaviour is always consistently good.

With his varied competition background he would be an ideal inter-school mount for the up and coming young rider looking for the horse to go on with. He would suit any discipline from showing, dressage, eventing, interschool, pony club or all of the above.

This is a genuine & regretful sale of an absolutely wonderful horse and we will be sorry to see him go but we need to make room for the young horses coming through. Up to date with dental. Vet check welcome.
