Sonny is the only stallion in Australia by the World Champion, Hall of Fame and 2 Million Dollar reining sire "Gunner" out of 5 times World Champion reining mare "Miss Modern Art".
"Sonny" is a loud splashed white overo horse with 2 blue eyes. His sire "Gunner" is a splashed white and his dam "Miss Modern Art" is an overo - Sonny carries both gene types and is throwing both colour patterns to solid mares. He is getting a very high percentage of coloured foals (approx 90%) and about 95% with white faces and blue eyes.
"Sonny" stands at 15hh making him one of the bigger "Gunner's". He has enormous topline strenght and a long sloping hip (almost a 45 degree angle). His butt muscling ties down low into his hocks and he is very deep through the stifle and gaskin, with tonnes of bone.
Not only has Sonny got his fathers body shape, he also has his very cool, laid back nature. We are very pleased to say that he is passing both these attributes onto his babies.
Sonny is throwing, big strong babies with lots of bone and muscle. His 1st foals are getting ready for the Reining Futurities and are showing the calmness, trainability and desire to stop that the "Gunner" horses are renown for.
