Revelwood offer at Stud Ferrero Rocher (Imp): Ferrero Rocher was imported into Australia by Jenny and Phil Rapson. He was then trained and campaigned by Australian Representative rider Matthew Dowsley who competed him with much success in Young Dressage Horse clasess- culminating with his win at Dressage with the Stars in 2003. He was awarded an amazing 9.5 for his rideability by Dr Ulf Moller who is very well regarded for his training of young horses at the famous PSI barn in Germany. Ferrero Rocher was then ridden by Nick Fyffe who progressed him to FEI level. Nick and Ferrero Rocher became highly competitive winning at the Sydney CDI, National Championships and also the PSG Cup at DWTS. He obtained his stallion licensing from the Hanoverian Society with exceptional scores for his paces: Trot 9, Canter 8, Walk 10!

Progeny

Ferrero Rocher’s foals are nothing short of amazing. They are achieving record prices and have inherited their sire’s “chocolate box” looks and super temperament. They show super swing and suspension in trot, have great walks and big canters. Many can be found in the stables of Australian representative & FEI riders happily progressing through the grades. Pic above are an example of some of his super talented offspring!

Florentine (pic above) is out of a Donnerhall mare. At 17.1hh with 4 long socks and a blaze, she is an incredibly eyecatching mare! Her loose swinging paces and superior type always catch the judges eye!

Fioretta (pic above) is out of a Sandro Hit mare. She has acheived huge success as a young dressage horse with many wins to her credit including: Member of the National Futures Squad- Dressage 2011-2012, 2011 NSW State Dressage Championships- Reserve Novice Champion, 2nd 2011 HHSA NSW Young Horse Champs- Sydney CDI 5yo Class, 2nd 2010 Dressage With The Stars 4yo Young Horse Class, 2010 Hanoverian Horse of the Year- Novice level & 2009 Hanoverian Young Horse of the Year.

Fiesta (pic above) is out of a Daktylus mare. Gorgeous type and movement, Fiesta is now in WA and in foal to OO Seven.

Frankenstein (pic above) out of a Montora mare. “Frankie” is a gentle giant! At 18hh he is a dream to ride and manage due to his exceptional temperament.

Ferrero Rocher also crosses well with thoroughbred mares giving them a lot of swing and lift in their movement.
Ferrero Rocher was purchased by Revelwood Stud in 2011 and Amanda Shoobridge is now campaigning him. They have competed with strong results at PSG/ Inter I level scoring in excess of 70% on several occasions. They represented NSW at the VIC State Champs in December 2011 winning the Advanced 5C and the State Team. They also placed 2nd at this show in the PSG class. In 2012 Ferrero Rocher was awarded a Gold National Performance Medal for his acheivements at Small Tour with 3 scores over 70%.

Ferrero Rocher started Grand Prix and is proving he was made for the job! With expressive 1x changes, super half pass and some fancy piaffe & passage he just loves showing off all his tricks to the judges! With several wins under his belt, Ferrero Rocher traveled to QLD for their CDI where he placed 4th in the CDN Grand Prix and 3rd in the freestyle.

Ferrero Rocher’s breeding reflects the modernisation of Hanoverian breeding with the cross of Florestan, Weltmeyer and Pik Bube. This cross produced the duel World Young Horse Champion, Florencio.

Not only is Ferrero Rocher bred to produce international Grand Prix competitors, but his quality of temperament and trainability lends itself to breed horses easily managed by riders of all levels and aspirations

Breeding

Florestan I

Florestan I was Champion of the 1998 Rhineland approval and also won his preformance test in Warendorf the following year. He has already been very successful as a sire producing over 20 approved sons including Fidermark who won the 4yo Bundeschampionate and is a Grand Prix performer. He is also the sire of the mare Ferrara who won the 5yo Bundeschampionate and is competing at Prix St Georges level with Isabell Werth. At the 2002 Bundeschampionate, Floarestan had 5 representatives including the 4yo stallion winner French Kiss.

Florestan’s sire Fidelio was for many years a popular sire in the Rhineland, where he spread the rich genetic heritage of his Selle Français sire, Furioso II.

Florestan’s dam, Raute was a successful show mare, and at the age of three was champion mare of her age group. In 1983 she won her class at the German Mare Show in Verden. The grand dam is the state premium mare, Gode, a full sister to the Warendorf state stallion, Gardist. This bloodline, whose roots trace to the traditional Hanoverian state of Hänigsen, also produced the 1998 Bundeschampionate winner, Roman Nature, as well as a large number of successful competition horses.

Romadour II

Romadour II is one of the most significant of modern Westfalien sires. In 1976, Romadour II represented the Westfalien studbook at the DLG Exhibition in Munich, where he was awarded the 1-a winner’s prize, while his daughters, Riviera and Ranja were awarded the 1-a and 1-b distinction respectively in the three year old class. Romadour II is the sire of many influencial sporthorses, including:

Rembrandt:- Ridden by Nicole Uphoff, Romiro and Rosenkavalier, who is the sire of the infamous Rubenstein.

Weltmeyer

The Hanoverian sire Weltmeyer who is owned by the Celle Landsgestut and bred by Herman Meyer, Allvorden, wasproclaimed as Stallion of the Year 1998. Weltmeyer, what a name, what a horse, what a sire. From the moment Herman Meyer presented this stallion at the 1986 Stallion Approval in Verden, the judges and other breeders were dazzled by his performance. His name, “ruler of the world”, his victory at the stallion approval and later at the national championships and DLG- representation was a prophecy which he successfully fulfilled. He sired 51 approved stallions for the Hanoverian association, he produced champions in the stallion performance tests and bundeschampionships.

His daughters also belong to the class of top quality mares; 150 mares became State Premium Mare and in mares tests a large collection of his fillies can be found in the top five. With a dressage index of 189 points Weltmeyer belongs to the 10 best Dressage Sires in the World. The National broodmare show of 1998 became a real Weltmeyer festival. Bronze medal winner in the five year old division of the Bundeschampionships was Weltino (Weltmeyer x Gelria/T), ridden by Holga Finken who also steered White Magic to a fourth place in the stallion class.

But also at international level, the first Weltmeyer descendants are achieving. Ellen Schulten Baumer became European Junior Rider Champion with the Weltmeyer x Marbod mare Weserperle S and Holga Finken is also competing Wie Weltmeyer at Grand Prix level.

The chestnut Weltmeyer is by World Cup I, who himself has been ‘Stallion of the Year’.
