After victories in many dressage tests at medium (M) level, he was trained by Dieter Weichert for the next level in dressage.
In spite of a heavy breeding load, Stedinger did an outstanding job at his 70-days test in Neustadt/Dosse. He finished the performance test with a total index of 131 (dressage 130.72 / jumping 121.92).
In 2005 he was qualified for the “Bundeschampionat” of dressage horses in Warendorf.
Stedinger is a charming, beautiful and very correct stallion. He is one of the best all around athletes that you can imagine, with gorgeous movement and super form over fences. He should be an excellent addition to the “D” and “R” lines to bring in the blood of Sandro and Landadel, with their jumper talents adding to the athleticism of the modern dressage horse.
In 2010 and 2011 the mare Toerveslettens Stamina and Andreas Helgstrand were an eye-catcher at every event: Stamina became Dressage-Champion in Denmark, she won the Dressageshow at Falsterbo Horse Show and was placed in the final of World Championships for young dressage horses as a 5- and 6-year-old.
Stedinger’s son Schumacher won the bronze medal at World Championships. By that Stedinger was the only sire who had two finalist at the World Championships final.
Socrate de Hus became Champion of France three times in a row – as a 5-, 6- and 7-year old horse.
Also in 2009 sons and daughters were represented successfully at the Bundeschampionat. In addition, his offspring were bestsellers at auctions and achieved top prices in Verden, Vechta and Ankum (PSI).
After the federal winner foal in Lienen in 2004, the winner stallion “Status Quo” of the Oldenburg licensing in 2006 and, in the meantime, more than 20 licensed and to partially awarded sons on all German and European inspected places, his first year on the Bundeschampionat was in 2008 the topic of conversation: Santorini OLD became “Bundeschampion” of the four-year-old riding horses, Schumacher became Westphalian champion and runner-up at the “Bundeschampionat”. Statesman won the bronze medal at the “Bundeschampionat” and afterwards he was sold for 400.000 euro by the “Vechtaer elite auction” – a new record!
Another success of Stedinger is his licensed son Spirit of the Age who at only 9yo has been highly successful at International Grand Prix level with rider Bernadette Brune.
Sire: Sandro Hit
Sandro Hit absolved his stallion performance test in Medingen in 1997 and in 1999 Sandro Hit became a star under the guidance of Dr Ulf Möller, the manager of the PSI dressage barn. The pair won the six year old dressage championship at the Bundeschampionate, and also the World Championship at Arnheim that year. Despite the versatility of his sire, on his breeding most people would expect that Sandro Hit would have been headed for the jumping ring – trouble was, he couldn’t jump, but Ulf Möller found the way to bring out his dressage ability and establish a new dressage dynasty. He is now a revolution in the dressage breeding world. He is really stamping his offspring, producing uphill horses with outstanding rideability.
Sandro Hit has sired the Bundeschampionate winners: Poetin, Showtime, San Rubin and Sir Donnerhall, as well as Grand Prix World Cup qualififier winner, Salieri with Victoria Max-Theurer. One of his first sons, Samba Hit (full brother to World Champion, Poetin) is a very successful competitor at Prix St Georgres / Inter I level.
Sandro Hit’s Dam: Loretta has been an excellent stallion producer – bred to Don Schufro, she produced Diamond Hit who was Reserve World Champion Five Year Old Dressage horse and Bundeschampion in 2002; bred to the Rohdiamant son, Royal Dance, she produced Royal Hit, the 1-c premium stallion of the 2002 Oldenburg stallion licensing. Loretta is by Ramino, who was champion of his performance test at Adelheidsdorf in 1983. He stood in Oldenburg from 1983 to 1987, while at the same time competing in show jumping with Melanie Kötter. The pair won team gold at the European Junior Championship in 1987, before he joined up with the Italian rider, Loris Pujatti, again with international success.
Stedinger’s Dam: Verband premium mare Bold Fantasy scored an excellent mare performance test with a free jumping score of 10.00, a guest rider score of 9.0 and an overall score of 8.67. She is a full-sister of the approved Lamar H, who is himself a successful dressage sports horse & a half-sister of the CIC** winner, eventing horse Just Me H. The line of the Young Stallion Champion Waldsee (dressage Intermediaire I) is also known for the Grand Prix horses Andrew, Armagnac and Inschallah B as well as Tansanid, dressage team silver at the 1984 Olympic Games with Christine Stückelberger. Bold Fantasy has also produced the licensed stallion Donninger by Donnerschwee.
The maternal bloodline is directly linked to all the greats of Oldenburg breeding history through Landadel (by Landgraf I), Futuro and Adonis xx. The Oldenburg foundation line of the mare Besinda (by Orient-Hildebald) also brought forth the approved full-brothers Andrew (successes up to Grand Prix) and Armagnac, as well as the multiple advanced dressage sports winner and approval champion Waldsee. This bloodline also produced Tansanid, who won the the silver medal at the 1984 Olympic Games under Christine StŸckelberger. The grandam gave birth to many successful show jumpers, dressage horses and cross-country eventing horses.
Right from the start, Landadel was something special. He was champion of his 100 day test at Medingen in 1985. Landadel is one of those rarest of creatures – a stallion who is siring top dressage as well as jumping progeny. Indeed at the 2001 World Cups, Landadel was unique in producing representatives in both the dressage and jumping finals, with the exquisite Leondardo da Vinci in the dressage with Gonnelien Rothenberger, and, in the jumping, Helena Weinberg’s Little Gun. In the 1999/2000 WBFSH standings, Landadel had 14 representatives on the jumping list and three on the dressage. Landadel is regarded as the most important son of Landgraf – and carries a double cross of the great Ladykiller, and bears out the theory that Landgraf worked best with mares with a high proportion of Thoroughbred blood. Landlord 4 and Lausbub 148 were out of mares by Tin Rocco xx. Lanciano is out of a mare by Marlon xx and Lucky Luke is out of a mare by Fra Diavalo (by Frivol xx). Landadel’s grand-dam is 3/4 Thoroughbred (Ladykiller xx / Gauner xx).His dams sire, Farnese was famed for this extravagent trot, and was used as a demonstration stallion by the Holsteiner Verband – besides the movement, the line was noted for its great substance and good conformation. Farnese’s son Farmer was on the 1984 German Olympic showjumping team with Franke Sloothaak.
In Australia, Landadel is represented by the mare, Luna Luna who has been extremely successful at world cup qualifier level, with Vicki Roycroft and was sold back to Europe after representing Australia at the WEG in Jerez. The Grand Prix dressage stallion D’Dur comes from a Landadel mare as does the grand dam of Jive Magic.
