Purchased from Werner Schockermohle in 1998 as a two year old colt, and classified by both the AWHA and Hanoverian Society in 1999. He passed his performance test the following year for his full liscence. Carbine was campaigned as a dressage horse and won Queensland Champion Young Horse. He placed 3rd in the 5yo Championship at Dressage with the Stars 2000. He was Elementary Champion at the South East Queensland Championships.
He is a bold and powerful jumper as you would expect the grandson of Calypso II
His progeny are highly successful show and dressage horses.
Jaybee Colleen won both the 4yo and 5yo Champion Young Dressage Horse. She won Supreme Champion Warmblood at Sydney Royal. Another daughter, Jaybe Callista, won AWHA National Mare and now competing successfully at FEI level in Melbourne.
Two 3 star eventers by Carbine have recently been exported to the William Fox-Pitt stables in England. Jaybee Star Celebrity and Jaybee Calypso both are only 9 years old and both were prominent winners of events in Australia. He also has some younger eventers making their way up through the ranks. Carbine has sired many beautiful and talented dressage horses including Jaybee Cardinal (Robyn Todd) medium level, Riverview Cinderella (Danielle Shearer) medium level, Jaybee Cartier (Melissa Willams) medium level.
Recently at The Festival of Brisish Eventing, Gatcombe Park, Jaybee Calypso and Chris Burton came 2nd in the Advanced Section 1. Also another eventer by Carbine, Jaybee Carillion, has just won the pre-novice at Gawler last weekend.
