The 2012 Inglis Australian Easter Broodmare Sale got off to a strong start in Sydney today with the Super Select Session mares recording an average of $135,748 for the 133 sold. We all hope that our horses live long and happy lives, maybe making it into their 30s and beyond, now a senior citizen equine in Essex (UK) is leading the way - having made it to the ripe old age of 51! It appears that the 15hh chestnut gelding called Shayne, who is still very active and loves a gallop, could be the oldest horse in the world. Top Dressage combinations from around the world have arrived in s’Hertogenbosch (NED) to contest the 2011/2012 FEI World Cup Dressage Final. Among the line-up is Australia’s Rachael Sanna who earned a start after taking the crown of last year’s Asia/Pacific World Cup Dressage series.
