Horse-lover Nikki Langley is lucky to be alive. The Redcliffe and Bayside Herald has reported that the 20-year-old’s horse was spooked and fell on her after a motorist honked while she was riding along Boundary Rd at Deception Bay, Queensland on January 19. "I was taking him for a nice, gentle ride when some moron tooted their horn at us,’’ she said. "Nellie reared up, lost his balance and fell on me."... This year GVRHA has launched a first for Reining in Australia, a Hi Point Series ‘Ride & Slide to America’. This Series is conducted over FOUR CONTINENTAL AFFILIATE QUALIFIER shows. The rider’s top three scores out of the four shows will count towards the Intermediate Open & Non Pro riders winning a trip to America. The Intermediate Open is running for three days tuition with Shawn Flarida, ‘The NRHA’s only 4 Million Dollar rider’. Shawn has kindly donated his time for our club, and the reining world is in a stir as this will be the most valuable three days any Reiner could ever dream of!... Horsezone were proud to be one of the sponsors of the Burpengary Pony Club Official Showjumping, which was held at Burpengary Equestrian Centre (BEC) on Saturday 5 March. The BEC suffered heavily during the January floods and has only recently been repaired enough for events to take place, so the Burpengary Pony Club committee and members were excited to be able to hold their Showjumping....
