Dressage; a discipline that requires performance, skill and excellence, finding the correct saddle is the challenge!

Known as a destination for serious dressage riders as well as those just starting out, Peter Horobin Saddlery is proud to be the choice of dressage riders of all ages and abilities and have developed a dressage range that is second to none.

Across the Peter Horobin range of dressage saddles, bridles, reins, girths and stirrup leathers, head collars and browbands there are a selection of designs and styles to suit different combinations of horse and rider and, of course, different budgets.

Their most popular dressage saddle, the PH Liberty, combines century’s old traditions of quality craftsmanship with the benefits of research, innovation and technology to provide a fit that gives your horse complete back freedom with superior comfort and security for the rider.

Along with a highly adjustable gullet system, the PH Liberty can move onto your next horse with being adjusted to suit.

When choosing a saddle for dressage one of the key considerations is the union that it creates between the rider and the horse. The saddle and strappings must fit perfectly to ensure comfort and a full range of movement for both the horse and rider.

Peter Horobin’s newest saddle, the PH Parbery, is based on the ADAPTREE, and is designed by Australia's leading Dressage Rider, Brett Parbery who recently rated top 10 in the world Kentucky 2010. The PH Parbery is 12 months of hard work, analysing the way riders ride and the problems they come across when buying a saddle for themselves, we have taken these issues and turned them into something constructive, which included the features in the PH Parbery. PHS Saddles, combined with our saddlefit 4 life program means that you will benefit from the result of decades of experience in handcrafting premium saddles and a commitment to research and ongoing improvement.

Peter Horobin and his team work closely with top national and international riders such as Brett Parbery and German Gold Medallist Heike Kemmer to create improvements and develop innovations to the saddles, strappings and accessories while remembering the importance of always being accessible to each and every one of their customers – old and new!

For advice, to arrange a fitting, chat about a new saddle or any of our dressage accessories, drop into the store and if you don’t live in Melbourne, call to make an appointment when the team is at an event in your area.

12 years ago I floated my horse to the Peter Horobin saddlery at Mornington. I was privileged to have Peter personally measure the horse, listen to my expectations of a saddle, provide alternative designs to sit in and the end result is a saddle that is genuinely fit for my life that I thoroughly enjoy swinging into and out of every ride. My Warmblood X has a confirmation like a pony on steroids - but you'd never guess he had no wither with the fit of the saddle. It fits my Irish Draught and best of all, it feels like a second skin to me. If like me, horses are an addiction, its an investment of a lifetime that will not disappoint you buying a

The confirmation of my Warmblood X is akin to a pony on steroids - but you'd never guess he had no wither with the fit of the saddle. It fits my Irish Draught too and best of all, it feels like a second skin to me. If like me horses are your addiction, a Peter Horobin saddle is an investment of a lifetime that's worth every cent.
