The second day of the Qld State Dressage Championships, held under beautiful blue skies without the freezing wind, provided another wonderful day of competition. It was victory to the blondes in the horse and pony grand prix classes on the final day of the Poverty Bay A and P Show in Gisborne today (Saturday). Lisa Coupe (Kumeu) took her third horse grand prix win of the early season aboard Bates Amaretto MVNZ in a hotly-fought class that saw all seven in the jump-off go double clear....

On Monday night at an Olympic celebration dinner in Canberra, Sports Minister Kate Lundy and Tasmanian Senator, Richard Colbeck, launched a book that's being billed as "a ripper yarn about Australia's best all rounder - as told by his son", reports Rose Grant of ABC Rural. German artist Babis Pangiotidis has created a giant rocking horse sculpture, with 18,000 recycled computer keys. The incredible sculpture, titled ‘Hedonism(y) Trojaner,’ is modelled on Trojan, the wooden horse from Greek mythology, which the Greeks used to sneak behind enemy lines into the city of Troy....
