It was victory to the blondes in the horse and pony grand prix classes on the final day of the Poverty Bay A and P Show in Gisborne today (Saturday). Lisa Coupe (Kumeu) took her third horse grand prix win of the early season aboard Bates Amaretto MVNZ in a hotly-fought class that saw all seven in the jump-off go double clear....

On Monday night at an Olympic celebration dinner in Canberra, Sports Minister Kate Lundy and Tasmanian Senator, Richard Colbeck, launched a book that's being billed as "a ripper yarn about Australia's best all rounder - as told by his son", reports Rose Grant of ABC Rural. German artist Babis Pangiotidis has created a giant rocking horse sculpture, with 18,000 recycled computer keys.
