Australian Vaulters Travel to France for World Vaulting Championships

Australia will be represented by three young Vaulters when the FEI World Vaulting Championships get underway in Le Mans, France. Emma Moulds of South Australia and Lani Maher and Lee Briggs of NSW will fly the flag for Australia when the four day competition gets underway this Thursday.... The two day 2012 Inglis Melbourne August Thoroughbred Sale got underway at Oaklands on Thursday, with Makybe Diva’s four-year-old daughter La Dolce Diva recording the highest price when selling for $300,000. 80% of the 116 broodmares offered on the opening day of the sale were sold for total receipts of $976,250....

A huge day at Ekka today! Galloways of all types ruled the ring, with jumping and one lone heavy horse in harness and then the Grand Parade took over at 1.00pm for an hour. This saw horses and ponies of all shapes and sizes strut their stuff in the main ring with a wide variety of other four legged (and even finned friends - yes, fish in bowls!).... Less than two weeks after netting Olympic team gold, Germany’s Ingrid Klimke triumphed in the third leg of the FEI World Cup™ Eventing held in Malmö, Sweden. Riding the 12-year-old Trakehner Tabasco 70, her winning mount at this year’s Luhmühlen CIC***, Klimke added just one knockdown in the Jumping to her first-phase score of 42.6....
