Nina Lamsam Ligon, winner of the FEI’s HSBC Rising Star Award 2011, is to represent Thailand in Eventing at the London 2012 Olympic Games. Thailand is one of the 10 nations represented only by individuals in Eventing. Ligon will compete on Butts Leon, an experienced four-star Hanoverian produced by German rider Andreas Dibowski.... The stars really will be converging on Adelaide this November for the Australian International Three Day Event. The most exciting news is that three times world number one rider and Olympic medalist William Fox-Pitt is coming to Adelaide! UK publication, Horse & Hound, has reported that eventing owners, Chris and Lisa Stone, are warning others about the risk of horse walker accidents after four-star event horse Elektron died as a result of “freak and horrific” accident at their yard on 9 July.... Philipp Weishaupt (pictured) was saluted for his brave and daring jump off round as he clinched his first Global Champions Tour Grand Prix win in Estoril tonight. The 26-year-old German pulled off a brilliant clear on Leoville in an unbeatable time of 44.96 which his boss Ludger Beerbaum described as a triumph of “youth over age”.... The South East Queensland Appaloosa Club will be hosting two shows over two days on 28-29 July at Burpengary Equestrian Centre. Saturday's show is "A" approved AQHA & AAA and shall be judged by the very popular Victorian Judge, Mr Craig Rath, while Kerris Holzberger will be judging trail. The first edition of the FEI European Driving Championships for Children, Juniors and Young Drivers will be remembered as a great success despite the wet weather. The Theresianic Military Academy in Wiener Neustadt, Austria welcomed 39 drivers from eight nations....
