After a thrilling 16 days of equestrian competition, attended by over half a million spectators, the 2010 Alltech World Equestrian Games came to an end on Sunday. There was plenty of excitement and surprises and highs and lows during this massive sporting event and our Australian athletes were part of it all, doing their absolute best.

Enabling Australia to finish 7th overall on the medal table, congratulations are definitely in order for Boyd Exell (Gold in Combined Driving) and Sharon Jarvis (2 x Bronze in Para Dressage) on their brilliant efforts. Also deserving of congratulations are Stuart Tinney and Vettori who finished 8th in the Eventing Individual standings, Brett Parberry and Victory Salute who placed 9th in the Grand Prix Special Dressage and Warren Backhouse (on borrowed horse - Whizs Bronze Star) for achieving 13th in the Individual Reining. These are just a few of our high achievers, all Aussies who competed deserve a huge pat on the back for their hard work and dedication - just making it to WEG is a major accomplishment and you're all stars in our eyes!

Below is the final medal table, which shows the Brits reigning supreme over all other nations. Top job Britain!
