AQHA World Show - Quarter Horses Can Do Anything!

Published on Saturday, November 19, 2011 in Event Results

The AQHA World Show finishes up today after 15 days of top class competition that included every event you could imagine!

As well as all the traditional Quarter Horse events, there were classes covering all disciplines like Pleasure Driving and Halter for Performance Horses.

The comprehensive AQHA World Show website has results for all classes, interviews with winners and videos of winning runs, plus plenty of stories of interest.

Personally I enjoyed finding out about the Amateur Hunt Seat Equitation, my favourite event, where they had to perform a hand gallop, several lead changes (including flying) and then canter on the rail with no stirrups for several laps. Good times!

The degree of difficulty in the Trail patterns was amazing and these horses make it look almost easy.

I love the lope on the Two Year Old Western Pleasure winner (who happens to be owned by the same lady who owns the gorgeous trail horse pictured) and the Working Cow Horse class looked like a heap of fun.

The very elegant winner of Junior Hunter Under Saddle is by the same sire as the gorgeous Chips Hot Nblazing who is currently standing at Stud at Tally Station. If you're looking to buy a horse of World Show quality, check out this cute two year old, Tally S Heat Activated, by Chips Hot Nblazing.

Below are a selection of videos, showing the variety of events and versatility of the Quarter Horse, follow the link below to watch more. Enjoy!
