Aussie Para-equestrian Team in Hong Kong

Published on Thursday, November 29, 2012 in General

Australian Para-Equestrians are in Hong Kong as part of the CPEDI3*, producing some great results on the first two days.

Representing Australia is London 2012 gold medallist and Horsezone Ambassador Joann Formosa together with National Squad member Lizzie Sobecki and Kaye Hannan from NSW.

Competing in the borrowed horse competition, both Sobecki and Hannan are sharing an ex-racehorse, while Jo has the ride on a nice 13hh pony.

Despite being the only rider in the Grade 4 competition, Hannan produced a respectable score of 54.22%. Sobecki finished first in Grade III with a score of 60.12%,  with Formosa finishing second in Grade 1B with 65.58%.

On day two of competition Formosa produced another second place on 61.96% with Sobecki third in her grade on 57.58%.  Hannan chose to retire prior to her test, out of concern for her borrowed horse, as it became a little irregular in the warm-up arena.

Stay tuned for more updates on the final day of competition.
