The MLR Memorial Rodeo and Stallion Service Auction is being held in honour of Mick Hecksher, who passed from Melanoma Cancer at age 50. Two other cowboys are also being honoured: Lachlan Hornery, who also lost his battle with cancer, and Roy Kelly who passed away in 2008. A large percentage of the proceeds raised during this event are being donated directly to the Cancer Foundation to assist in research to find a cure to Melanoma Cancer.

There are 23 stallions with services up for grabs in the Stallion Service Auction, comprising mostly of quality working and show bred Quarter Horses and Australian Stock Horses.

Quarter Horse sires on offer include Dmac Daddy, Seligman Spin, SLR Mojo's Workin, Docs Fancy Roy and Playin To Style, plus many more.

Captain Barbados, Cadabra and Doongara Manpower are a few of the Australian Stock Horses stallons with services available.

There's even a beautiful Australian Pony,  Raennik Park Obsession, with a service on offer.
