Career Opportunity: Insurance Administrator with Inglis

Australia’s leading thoroughbred auctioneer Inglis is looking for an enthusiastic Insurance Administrator to join their dynamic team. 

This is a full-time role working within Inglis’ Insurance team based at our Randwick, Sydney office.

The primary focus of the role is to provide support to the Insurance department with general administration duties, filing, data entry and preparing invoices.

You must be computer literate, extremely organised with proven ability to prioritise tasks and able to work independently. Knowledge and passion for the Australian racing and breeding industries and/or previously working in an Insurance environment is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate will be required to undertake some interstate travel and additional work which is further outside usual business hours.

The primary responsibilities include:

  • Administration and support, including invoicing, banking, data entry, processing documentation and mail, filing, basic client liaison via phone and email and other ad-hoc duties
  • General support of the Insurance team as required
  • Relief reception duties to cover lunch breaks and other times as required

Required skills:

  • Strong computer literacy – intermediate Word, Excel, Outlook and use of databases
  • Accurate typing speed of at least 50 wpm
  • Exceptional organisational skills, ability to meet deadlines and a flexible attitude
  • High attention to detail and accuracy whilst managing multiple tasks
  • Excellent personal presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Some experience in financial calculations and/or accounting skills
  • Have a great work ethic along with being able to work independently and as part of a small team
