Equestrian Australia (EA) is pleased to announce London Olympian and Kentucky WEG Representative Chris Burton has been named on the Normandy 2014 squad for eventing.
National Eventing Selectors have today confirmed Burton will join the squad with TS Jamaimo, with whom Burton won the 2013 Australian International Three Day Event CCI4*.
Burton recently announced he had acquired the ride on the 15 year old thoroughbred, which is owned by the TS Jamaimo syndicate.
The establishment of the horse and rider as a combination, together with their performance at last year’s Adelaide CCI4* satisfy the squad selection policy for eventing (see HERE).
A combination’s appointment on the Normandy squad does not guarantee it a position on the team for WEG and all combinations still need to meet the requirements of the eventing WEG selection policy (see HERE) in order to be eligible for selection to the Australian team.
