Exell Leading at FEI European Driving Championships for Four-in Hand After Dressage

Aussie Boyd Exell is competing at the FEI Open European Driving Championships for Four-in-Hand being held in Breda, The Netherlands and has just posted on his Facebook page that after dressage, the standings are Boyd first on 34.05, Chardon second on 35.71, Dobrovitz thrid on 44.80 and Timmerman fourth on 45.70. The marathon is tomorrow and Boyd is 21st to go starting section A at 13.25. We wish Boyd all the best of luck for the marathon!... HSBC FEI Classics - Germany on Top Again After Dressage at Burghley

Simone Deitermann (GER) and Free Easy NRW are well known for their ability in the Dressage arena, but the German rider still said it felt “amazing” to be in the lead on her first visit to the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials (GBR), second-last leg of the HSBC FEI Classics™. “My horse was quite nervous,” she explained, “and he is not used to performing on a grass arena.” ... Australian Eventing Team Heads to Blenheim to Qualify for London Games

Australia will face competition from Japan at the Regional Qualifier held at Blenheim Three-Day Event in the United Kingdom on 8-11 September. After a disappointing performance at the 2010 World Equestrian Games where the team did not finish, Australia is required to compete at the regional qualifying event against Japan. South Africa was intending to field a team, however they have withdrawn. New Zealand will make up the third team from the region however they are already qualified, leaving the contest between Japan and Australia. ...
