Solomon the Miniature Horse Home with His Family for Christmas

Solomon, the miniature horse believed to be stolen from a residence in Carindale, Brisbane on Saturday night has been safely returned home in time for Christmas. His relieved owners located him in their yard at their Powis Street property at around 9pm last night. Solomon was hungry, thirsty and tired upon his return, however he appeared to be freshly groomed, but was missing his rug. When asked if he knew where he’d been, Solomon replied, “Neigh”. ...

25 Dead Ponies Dumped Near New England Highway

A tip-off led Northern NSW Police to the bodies of 25 dead ponies about 1.00pm on Saturday. The ponies were dumped off a cliff close to the New England Highway, located near a truck parking bay between Glen Innes and Armidale. Police say there were no obvious signs of injury and no identifying marks or brands to help locate an owner for the dead animals....
