Hawkesbury Dressage Club - Invitation

Hawkesbury Dressage Club (HDC) is holding their AGM on Tuesday 19 November at the Richmond Club and the current committee would like to invite all club members to attend.  During the evening the club will also host the 2013 HOTY (Horse of the Year) awards along with product talks from several of their sponsors. 

A light dinner and drinks will be served and lucky door prizes are being donated by our sponsors. David from Manuka Haylage is generously donating two bags of haylage and Camille from HHEN is donating magazine advertising.  While it is yet to be confirmed, the club is hopeful to secure Manuka Haylage’s sponsored rider Brett Parbery for the evening to talk about the benefits of haylage used in his competition stables.

Monique from Winque Equine Therapies will also speak about the benefits of massage therapy for the dressage horse and how this can promote suppleness and balance, thus improving your competition test results.

The club is looking to recruit new committee members to help run the 2014 events. The current committee is a mixture of riders and non riders so you don’t need to ride or own a horse to be a member. The last competition for 2013 will be held 3 November and the club has been fortunate to secure two tickets to “The Horseman’s Rendezvous” which are being donated for the volunteer’s prize draw.  The Horseman’s Rendezvous will be held at SIEC 22-23 March 2014 and will bring together four of Australia’s best horsemen and women, Tony Lander – horse and human relationship specialist, Roy Lawson - reining legend, Colleen Brooke – showjumping icon and Jose Mendez – the master of classical dressage. Tickets for this event are available via Ticketek, or email the organizers “The International Horseman’s Institute” on ihi@bordernet.com.au.

HDC has had another successful year boasting record numbers attending each competition, with terrific sponsors on board and a very dedicated committee 2014 is set to be another great year!  A special thank you to Horsezone for their ongoing support in promoting the club.
