Hendra Quarantine Lifted from Two Qld Properties
Two properties in the Beaudesert area have had their Hendra virus quarantine removed.
With the lifting of the quarantine on two properties at Kerry, they have now reverted to their pre-quarantine status and no longer face any Hendra virus-related restrictions.
Quarantine restrictions are only lifted after the completion three rounds of testing over a 32-day period, with all tests results returning negative results for Hendra virus.
One remaining property in Beaudesert remains under quarantine as this 32 day period with clear test results has not yet elapsed.
Biosecurity Queensland is still monitoring animals on properties at Beaudesert, Boonah, Park Ridge, Kuranda, Hervey Bay, Boondall and Chinchilla.
The number of horses now being monitored daily by Biosecurity Queensland stands at 81.
