Published on Tuesday, June 3, 2014 in Sponsored Shows

The Melbourne International Horse Trials (MIHT) has unveiled leading equestrian retailer Horseland, as a gold partner of this year’s event, to be held on the Queen’s Birthday long weekend at the Werribee Park National Equestrian Centre.

Event Director Michael Hands said he was delighted that Horseland’s partnership with MIHT brought a whole new dimension to the marketing and promotion of Australia’s most exciting equestrian event.

“This is a strategic partnership, which will see Horseland promoting the event through its extensive retail network and the MIHT providing additional exposure to Horseland to an anticipated 20,000 spectators and competitors,” said Mr Hands.

Horseland CEO Adam Bucknell said the retailer saw a great opportunity in partnering with the Melbourne International Horse Trials given its place on the Australian equestrian calendar.

“At Horseland we aim to be at the heart of the equestrian community. As we approach 40 years of providing Australian horse lovers all of their equestrian needs, we couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate than sponsoring one of the country’s finest equestrian events,” said Mr Bucknell.

The MIHT will welcome thousands of spectators to the stunning surrounds of the Werribee Park precinct, just outside Melbourne, to showcase the very best in Australian horsemanship. Horse and rider will compete for national and international representation.

There is something for everyone in the Werribee Park precinct from fine food to great competition and beautiful scenery. Held in the grounds of historic Werribee Mansion, the event takes in the Victoria State Rose Garden, Werribee Open Range Zoo and the Werribee Park Polo Fields.

Event-goers can enjoy ringside seats to take in the action on course and there are hospitality packages to suit every taste.  Tickets for this year’s event are on sale now via Ticketek.
