As part of the event, the team at Horsezone is excited to be holding the Horsezone Sellers Class and Stallion Showcase on Thursday 24 July.

WATCH THE LIVE STREAM FROM 2:00PM 24 JULY THROUGH TO 27 JULY HERE

This is a great opportunity for sellers, buyers and owners of stallions at stud!

The Horsezone Sellers Class will showcase horses for sale and, thanks to Inglis Insurance, enable buyers of these horses to potentially win a $10,000 bonus at next year's Glen Haven Park Grand Prix Show.

Breeders will also be able to showcase their Stallion at Stud during the Horsezone Sellers Class, in front of a targeted audience and have them listed on STALLIONZONE for 12 months.

The concept of the Horsezone Sellers Class is as follows:

  • Owners nominate a horse to compete in the Horsezone Sellers Class, which will be run on Thursday 24 July, as part of the Glen Haven Park Grand Prix Show, Kilcoy, Queensland.
  • A showjumping course will be set and each nominated horse given the opportunity to be ridden on the flat, then jumped around a course that suits the horse’s level of competition. The heights will be 1m, 1.1m and 1.2m.
  • The course will be designed to be open and flowing, containing a combination and a variety of other types of fences. Every horse will be invited to complete the full round of competition. All horses will compete in random draw order.
  • The winner of the Horsezone Sellers Class is the horse and rider combination with the least number of penalties over the 2 phases and the quickest time in the second phase.
  • Horses competing at the 1m level incur a 4 second addition to their time and horses competing in the 1.1m section a 2 second addition.
  • Prize money will be paid as follows:

o 1st $400 (Plus Horsezone Jacket)
o 2nd $200 (Plus Horsezone Cap)
o 3rd $100 (Plus Horsezone Cap)

  • While each horse is on course, the announcer will give a description of the horse, as provided by the owner, including training, achievements, behavioural traits, as well as any other relevant information about the horse and rider combination. The announcer will also provide potential buyers with information about how to contact the owner.
  • A rider may ride as many horses as they wish in the Horsezone Sellers Class.
  • Every horse that takes part in the Horsezone Sellers Class will have a minimum of 5 photos (maximum 20) taken.
  • Within 24 hours of the Horsezone Sellers Class being completed, all horses that were nominated in the Class will be advertised on Horsezone.com.au in the classified section, under the contact details of the owner.
  • The competition will be professionally filmed and each horse’s round will be converted to a YouTube clip that can be viewed after the event. If a seller is unhappy with their round then it will not be made public. If happy with the YouTube clip, it will be added to the Horsezone classified listing for that horse.
  • All communication between potential buyers and sellers happens directly, Horsezone has no involvement in the sale of horses and the sale is commission free.
  • If a horse is sold within 90 days of the class, by 21 October 2014 and Horsezone is notified in writing, then that horse is eligible to contest the $10,000 Horsezone and Inglis Insurance Bonus. Proof of sale may be required.
  • To be eligible for the bonus a horse must have been entered and competed in the Horsezone Seller’s Class on the Thursday 24 July 2014 at The Glen Haven Park Grand Prix show, Kilcoy. The horse must have been sold to a new owner, and Horsezone must have been notified in writing by close of business on Tuesday 21 October 2014.
  • The horse then must compete at the 2015 Glen Haven Park Grand Prix Show, in the Open 1.2m Class in ring one. If the program is the same as 2014, it will be Class Number One, all those who are eligible will be notified of the Class they must enter.
  • If the horse wins that class, then Horsezone and Inglis Insurance will pay the owner who purchased the horse, within the above terms, a $10,000 cash bonus.
  • Further to the above, Horsezone also opens the invitation to breeders to showcase their Stallion at Stud during the Horsezone Sellers Class. Stallion owners can present their stallion during the class and jump the course or simply showcase their sire. The announcer will explain that the horse is a Stallion at Stud and provide details about the sire, as provided by the owner. At this time the stallion will be photographed and videoed, and within 24 hours of the class, advertised as a Stallion at Stud (for 12 months) on Horsezone’s dedicated stallion platform STALLIONZONE.
  • Cost to enter the Horsezone Sellers Class is $220 and includes full advertising on The Horsezone network.
  • Entries for the Glen Haven Park Grand Prix Show open on 9 June. Enter for the Horsezone Sellers Class with your entries for the Glen Haven Park Grand Prix show or via tim@horsezone.com.au
