Hot Horsezone Stallions!

 Recently several stunning Warmblood stallions have been featured on Horsezone and we thought it was time to share a selection of the many other great stallions, across a wide variety of breeds, that are standing at stud this season - be prepared to drool! 

Andalusian: Galero XIV (imp)

Why he's on the A-list:

This sensational stallion is a Purebred Spanish Horse (Lastur x Judia VIX) who was purchased after an extensive search of Spain, from the renowned stud of Pedro Madza. Galero XIV arrived in Australia in July 2002 as a yearling.  Galero's stunning ''Look at me'' presence, super conformation, immaculate pedigree and absolute ''to die for'' movement, will ensure his place as one of the best stallions in Australia. His jet-black colour is a bonus.

 

 

Appaloosa: Moonglade Spot On

Why he's on the A-list:

KNK Appaloosas' stunning six year old, 16hh, leopard stallion, Moonglade Spot On (Ima Cool Seeker x Alfies Appollo Jean), is a National and State Champion at halter, western pleasure and hunter under saddle.  He has also competed with success at Open breed shows, against Quarter Horses and Paints, including NPHA and the 2010 Nambour All Breeds Show where he won the Open Feature Hunter and placed second in the Open Western Pleasure out of a large field of quality horses.  After his great success with western performance, Spot On is now taking the dressage scene by storm! 

 

 

Arabian: Shai'lan SHAH

Why he's on the A-list:

A beautiful six year old black, 14.1hh, Egyptian Spanish stallion (Maf-ue Shaienne x Redwood Lodge High Society), Shai'lan SHAH was won multi champion and supreme awards at halter and under saddle and is proving his versatility and athleticism in a variety of disciplines. Shai'lan SHAH He is a unique individual who captures everybody's eye where ever he goes and never fails to entertain visitors!  His first foals are expected in the 2011/2012 season.

 

 

Australian Stock Horse: Warrenbri Regal

Why he's on the A-list:

 

Warrenbri Regal stands at stud at Warregold Australian Stock Horse stud and is a handsome black Australian Stock Horse Stallion with impeccable bloodlines (Warrenbri Romeo x Asha Nicki - Abbey lines).  He is an Open Campdraft winner, who has solid bone structure and excellent conformation. He possesses natural cattle sense, athletic ability and a pleasant temperament. Qualities he passes on to his progeny, making them willing and easy to train.

 

 

Clydesdale:  Cathcart Lofty

Why he's on the A-list:

This fine young Stallion bears the unmistakable characteristics of generations of top bloodlines, he has correct conformation, superb action, sound legs and feet and the good temperament and manners that Clydesdales are famous for.  He is a very successful stallion winning numerous led champions and supremes, who possesses outstanding temperament and trainability, with exceptional movement and loads of elevation and extension.  Lofty drives, jumps, musters stock and rides sidesaddle a truly versatile horse, who will produce royal quality purebred Clydesdales and athletic and competitive sporthorses.  Lofty is headed for the World Clydesdale Show being held in the USA in October, where we have no doubt he will excel and do Australia proud (read more about Lofty's upcoming overseas trip)

 

 

 

Friesian: Hotse (imp)

Why he's on the A-list:

Hotse is an imported Ster Permitted black, 16.2hh, Friesian Stallion (20/4/02). He has been awarded the sport predicate for his achievements in Dressage by the Dutch FPS. Hotse is by the Friesian Champion and Dressage Champion Jasper 366 ridden by Peter Spahn. He is successfully competing in medium level dressage and has also won led classes - being awarded Supreme Champion of All Breeds at Toowoomba Royal 2010. He has the most wonderful nature and excellent trainability. With his stunning looks and exceptional fluid movement Hotse will go to the highest level of dressage. He is a crowd favourite where ever he goes.  Hotse stamps his foals with his impressive swan like neck, his calm affectionate nature and exceptional movement. Paint Horse: Loots Image (imp)

Why he's on the A-list:

Loots Image is one of those sought after sires who was not only a great performer in his own right but has since gone on to sire many top performers.  He has won at halter and under saddle in all events (in the USA and Australia) and passes his excellent conformation and versatility under saddle on to his progeny, many of whom have won at major shows across Australia.  Loot has proven to be the most talented and accredited western stallion to ever come to Australia! Pinto: Windsong Celtic Clansman

Why he's on the A-list:

Windsong Celtic Clansman is a 12.1hh, buckskin and white Tobiano (with georgeous rich gold buckskin colouring) stallion.  He is registered Pure APSB, Pinto NSW and also Part Welsh and Arabian Pony.  This boy throws fabulous colour and to date, all his foals have been "coloured". He has strong bold movement and is a well put together pony with looks that grab you. He is beautifully marked, unusual facial markings with blue eyes.  Celt is quiet, well mannered and easy going, which, combined with quality bone, fantastic movement and impeccable bloodlines makes him a stallion to be truly admired. Being a gentle boy with a wonderful temperament he passes these attributes on to his foals. He is kind to his mares, does not attack, kick, get nasty.

 

 

Quarter Horse (Cutting): Ima Smooth Blue Cat (imp)

Why he's on the A-list:

Electrified Cutting Horses is the home of Ima Smooth Blue Cat (Smooth As a Cat - Hall Of Fame  Dam: Autumn Boon - Hall Of Fame).  This stunning blue roan horse is the only colt bred from Autumn Boon to hit Australian shores. Autumn Boon is the most prolific mare produced by the Hall of Fame number one cutting mare of all time - Royal Blue Boon.  This is the first year that Ima Smooth Blue Cat will be standing in Australia.

 

 

 

Quarter Horse (Western Performance): Chips Hot Nblazing (imp)

Why he's on the A-list:

Imported Quarter Horse Stallion, Chips Hot Nblazing, standing at Tally Station Quarter Horses, is the perfect choice for any Western Performance enthusiast looking to breed their mare - English or Western.!  His sire is the legendary Hot N Blazing who is a multiple World and Congress Champion and Hunter Under Saddle and Western Riding and is a Top Ten Sire of Open Performance Winners.  Chippy's dam is ROM Pleasure daughter of Zips Chocolate Chip - the All Time Leading Sire of Pleasure Horses. His oldest progeny in Australia are two year olds (very few due to EI) and the young stock are showing the wonderful pleasure movement and temperament required to win at the highest levels.

 

 

 

Riding Pony: Aspen Way Gala Night

Why he's on the A-list:

Aspen Way Gala Night is a stunning Riding Pony and a perfect example of the modern Dressage Pony.  He has correct conformation, magnificent movement and power.  He joins a very small number of the country’s best assessed stallions in the Premier division of the ASPR with scores up to 82%.  Aspen Way Gala Night is a Multi Supreme Champion at Royal Shows across Australia and at the 2010 Royal Melbourne Horse Show he was awarded Supreme Champion Led Exhibit and Champion Ridden Exhibit betting some of the best Saddle horses in the Country. His correct conformation, elevated movement and superb temperament is very evident in all his offspring and so impressive are his progeny that all but one who is being retained was sold as a young foal.

 

 

Thoroughbred:  Kiwi Warrior

Why he's on the A-list:

Kiwi Warrior is by the Top Class sire Brave Warrior. An outstanding racehorse himself, Brave Warrior has had a major impact on the Queensland breeding scene with his Champion Sire Son Show A Heart. One of the best ever stallions to stand at stud, Show A Heart has been named champion sire of Australia (2 year olds) as well Queensland Champion Stallion on numerous occasions.  Like Show A Heart, Kiwi Warrior was a Stakes Winner who was also Stakes Placed on multiple occasion. He won over $230,000 in prize money and saluted the judge on 5 occasions.  He is a magnificent type who puts a lot of bone and muscle into his foals.

 

Welsh:  Woranora Minstrel

Why he's on the A-list:

Woranora Minstrel is a multi supreme champion Welsh 'A' stallion (Menia Silver Sand (imp) x Stanton Park Melody SOD: Coed Coch Gwyndaf (imp))  He is not only a supreme winning stallion but is also a sire of Multi Supreme Winners! His progeny have won all over Australia. Min is a registered Welsh Mountain pony and also registered APSB, Australian Saddle Pony, Arabian Pony and Palomino.  He will be standing at Snowdon Vale Stud, Tasmania, to a very limited number of mares this season!
