London Calling! Queensland Hopefuls Clamour for Lucinda’s Wisdom.

Published on Monday, February 11, 2013 in General

London Olympic Equestrian commentator, Lucinda Green, is heading to Brisbane to conduct a two-day training camp at Burpengary on 14-15 February 2013.

Ms Green is one of Britain’s most decorated horsewomen having won the elite Badminton Horse Trials  a record six(6) times on six(6) different horses, a feat unmatched by any rider. She will be in Australia at the invitation of the Queensland International Three Day Event Committee.

The clinic is a prelude to the committee’s big eventing carnival at Warwick from March 21-24 – this year’s competition  dubbed ‘State Of Origin On Horseback’ between Qld and NSW.

“I’m excited to be a part of this growing sport in Queensland, and look forward to passing on my experience to up and coming young riders.”, Ms Green says.

The sport of eventing is the ultimate endurance test of rider and horse, with three disciplines – showjumping, cross country and dressage contested over three gruelling days.

“The Queensland International at Warwick is now into its fourth year, with the Morgan Park course benefiting from extensive groundwork and improvement.” said Committee President Cameron Osborne.

“Having a champion rider like of Lucinda Green to conduct our pre-event clinic is a great coup.” he said.

Adding to the prestige of the event will be Sydney Olympics Gold Medallist Stuart Tinney.

He is bringing three horses from NSW to ride, and will Captain the Queensland team.
