Published on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in General

Northside Riding Club will be running its first ever “Welcome (back) to Northside” day on Saturday 1 February from 10am to 5pm at the Princess Anne Arena, St Ives.

This will be a mostly horseless open day - although here will be some horses there for demonstrations in the Ash Arena. The event is free to all members of the club as well as the general public, bring your friends and family!

The club have organised over 20 VERY COOL trade stands, and some informative presentations (such as the Rural Fire Service, veterinarians, feed specialists), and some super mini masterclasses in the Ash Arena. Other Equestrian and Community Groups will be there to talk to you about their clubs and what they offer!

Informative presentation topics will include:

• Horse Insurance
• Sand Colic
• Equine BioMechanics
• Bush Fire Safety Rural Fire Service
• Getting Horses Fit for Competition
• Equine Muscle Therapy
• Hacking Explained
• Western/HUS demonstration with Mark Shaffer

Think of it as the North Shore’s own mini Equitana!

The Rural Fire Brigade will be doing a BBQ and all profits raised will go to supporting them.

Northside Riding Club in 2014 - going to be bigger and better than ever!
