One of the Missing RDAV Ponies Found

Published on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 in General

Weekly Times Now has reported that one of the two horses reported missing from the Riding Develops Abilities Centre in Officer, Victoria, has been recovered.

Two ponies, Benny, a 14 year old skewbald Shetland and Bozo, a chestnut Australian Riding Pony, went missing last Wednesday after police believe a locked paddock was deliberately opened.

Riding Develops Abilities president Lesley Hewitt told Weekly Times Now Benny had been found.

She said someone recognised the pony in a paddock in the area and he was recovered.

"Hopefully the other horse will be recovered," Ms Hewitt said.

In addition to the missing horses, other property including a ride-on mower, hay and various horse equipment has also been stolen from the Officer based centre in recent months.

If anyone has information on Bozo, the remaining missing pony, or any of the equipment please contact Pakenham Police Station on (03) 5945 2559.
