PBR Brings Nation’s Best Bull Riders to the QSEC MAIN ARENA on 9 March

Published on Friday, February 1, 2013 in General

The Professional Bull Riders announced that Queenslanders will be able to watch the Top 40 bull riders from the Australian Tour compete against the best bucking bulls in the state when the PBR Touring Pro Series makes its debut at the Caboolture QSEC Main Arena on Saturday, March 9th.

For those who have not experienced a PBR event before, they can expect non-stop action from the start to finish. For those who may blink and miss something, the mega replay screen and multiple camera angles will offer slow motion replays of each ride as well as taking the audience inside the chute to see each rider prepare for their ride.

This is not your average rodeo or bull riding event, it delivers a whole event experience from choreographed music, major league match ups between man and beast, but most of all it will educate you about the sport through big screen clips that teach the audience on how to score a ride, the treatment and breeding of the bulls used along with some of the most spectacular moments the sport has delivered over the years.

QSEC Main Arena not only offers the comfort of an indoor seating stadium but it also allows each and every spectator a great viewing position to witness these professional athletes put their body’s on the line for the one like-minded goal of earning their way to the National Finals and the hope of securing a position into the 2013 PBR World Finals.

The beauty of PBR events is that it is an even playing field, anyone of the 40 riders competing in the competitions can jump out and win on any given day and the 2012 season has been a testament to this with nearly every event producing a new winner, apart from number 1 ranked rider Troy Wilkinson who secured 3 event wins.

With so many riders in great form, the 2013 PBR Caboolture event will see an increase in bull power with many of the state’s leading stock contractors booked to bring a selection of their most-toughest bulls, which will include 10 of the most extreme bulls for the Championship Round.

Come Saturday March 9, there will be one bull, riders will be hoping not to draw,a 4 year old Indonesian Ban tang cross bull that goes by the name Suicidal. Owned by Hall Rodeo Company and located near Toowoomba in Westbrook, Suicidal is in his debut year on the PBR Tour and ever since his first event back in Newcastle in July 2012, this brown and white 800kg bull has stamped his claim as a true contender for the 2013 Bucking Bull of the Year Award, with not one qualified ride on the PBR Tour.

Fans will witness thrilling 8-second rides and jaw-dropping wrecks throughout the adrenaline-soaked performance as the PBR’s insanely brave cowboys risk it all against monstrous animal athletes that can weigh as much as 1,000 kg.

Bull riding begins at 7:30 p.m.on Saturday, March 9. Ticketsare available through www.qsec.com.au or www.pbraustralia.com  or by calling 07 5433 3222.
