Pilbara Campdraft Circuit Hits the North West

Published on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 in General

It is Campdraft time once again in the Western Australia’s ABCRA Zone.   Nominations are in and draws complete, final preparations are now underway.  It is great to see new family’s ready to make the Pilbara journey and we welcome back the long time supporters.  Newman will kick off the circuit on Thursday 30 and Friday 31 August. It will be action packed with approximately 420  great Campdrafting runs for the two days including the Calcutta for the Open 4 Open. Newman are a very small committee and survive on the generous support of their members and local businesses to ensure the events success.

The circuit will then move to Tom Price on Sunday 2 and Monday 3 September with another 400 runs, this being one of the best Campdrafts in Western Australia with great prize money.  Thanks to  Fortescue and Link Force Engineering for their sponsorship this year, a huge thanks also to Hamersley Patrol Company for the donation of the cattle.  From Tom Price to Pannawonica competitors can enjoy a beautiful coastal drive to finish off the circuit on Thursday 6 and 7 September, where competitors and fans will enjoy live entertainment from the Sunny Cowgirls along with the Gymkhana and Rodeo on 8 September.

This year’s circuit will be judged by Neil Bryce, and Lloyd Brown from Qld.  Competitors are looking forward to the entertaining yet relaxing circuit.  Over the three drafts the competitor with the highest aggregate points will receive a beautiful perpetual trophy and prize money.  Good luck and enjoy the great Pilbara Circuit.
