Position Vacant: Experienced Graphic Designer

Inglis, Australia's leading Thoroughbred Auctioneer, is looking to employ an experienced Graphic Designer.

With a busy calendar of up to 20 auctions per year, Inglis is the sale source of many Australian Champion Racehorses such as Black Caviar, Starspangledbanner and Takeover Target to name a few.

This role is a fantastic opportunity for a mid-level graphic/print designer, with good web design skills. Opportunities like this are rare, and need to be grabbed with both hands! We are looking for a hardworking, ambitious and organised graphic designer with good web design skills to join our marketing team.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, well organised, with a great eye. Creativity and attention to detail are as important as technical proficiency in all Adobe Creative Suite programs.

You must have good organisational skills, a willingness to learn and must be able to take instruction. You will need to have a strong work ethic and strong customer service focus.

This is a high pressure environment; you will need to be prepared to work extended hours when there are tight deadlines. You must be able to work under pressure as part of a fun, close-knit team.

In addition to being the graphic designer, part of this role will be as an assistant to the marketing team so there is a need to be flexible within the work environment.

Requirements:
2-3 years' commercial experience, preferably within an agency or design studio
Advanced knowledge & experience of the Adobe Suite CS5
Strong time and task management skills
Able to meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
Possess a creative portfolio illustrating your exceptional design talent
Good knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript; Flash would be an advantage
A strong background in print design; experience with print ready files, binding, bleeds, retouching and colour matching
High competency with both PC and MAC environments
A degree or recognised qualification in design

Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Extremely organised
Very strong eye for detail
Ability to work in a high pressured environment
Must be able to take constructive criticism and give feedback
Excellent punctuality and time management skills

Favourable Requirements (not essential)
1. Photography & IT skills
2. Marketing experience
3. Thoroughbred Industry Knowledge

Immediate start is preferred

Please only apply if you have corporate design experience. Strictly no agencies. Examples of your work must be submitted with CV. Please send your CV (including examples of your work) to Inglis HR Co-ordinator, Suzy Sims suzy@inglis.com.au
