One of Australia's most talented young showjumpers, Olivia Hamood, is currently living in Belgium and working at the prestigious showjumping stables of Ludo Philippaerts. Horsezone's lovely UK Blogger, Kiwi eventer Laura Wallace, has had a very tough few months. She tragically lost her talented and beloved horse Sugoi (Peter) in a jumping accident, but with the help of great friends and family, plus her own determination, we're so pleased to see that Laura is back in the saddle...... Horsezone Liaison Julie McLaughlin has been in the thick of the action in Calgary since the Stampede started on 6 July and will continue to be there until the very last day on 15 July. Julie has also been to famous Spruce Meadows to watch the showjumping and took part in the Aussie sport of Polocrosse... Canadian style!... Postcards from the Saddle: Calgary Stampede!

Horsezone previously featured eventer Laura Wallace in a Five Minutes With... article and we were all excited for her regarding a pending move to the UK, which is happening now! In addition to her skill with horses, Laura has great talent with a pen (or keyboard!), and is kindly going to provide regular updates for our 'Canter Banter' blog of her overseas adventures.
