Australia's Horse Capital hosted a number of Australia's leading dressage horses and riders on 6 & 7 July at the FDM Logistics UHDA Dressage Championships.

This year’s competition formed part of the inaugural Dressage NSW Regional Dressage Festival which is supported and promoted by Dressage NSW.

Additional spectator facilities and catering were arranged at White Park to provide a wonderful experience for competitors and visitors alike.

Close to 300 dressage tests were ridden over the 2 days. Competitors came from across NSW; with spectators hailing from as far afield as Western Australia!

"Superb weather and an exceptional line up of horses and riders ensured 2 great days of competition,” said UHDA President Robyne Smith “Thanks must go to the hardworking committee at Scone Dressage who oversaw the arrangements; it just goes to show that big does not necessarily mean better. The dedicated and extremely competent team worked tirelessly to make this event our best ever. We also appreciate the generous support of our sponsors plus Dressage NSW and Equestrian NSW who provided financial assistance to support the Regional Dressage Festival Series."

Local riders mirrored the weekend’s brilliant sunshine with a host of headline performances; a number of riders securing awards including Lisa Martin and Robyne Smith who secured separate championship titles.

“We were also delighted with the involvement of the virtual dressage community before, during and after the event in terms of our Club’s Facebook presence,” commented Ms Smith. “In just one week the page attracted an additional 1250 followers who were all clamouring for updates and photos which we duly delivered …   a super result for a rural Club!”
