Woodford Show: 21-22 June

The annual Woodford Show, being held on Friday and Saturday 21-22 June, has a wide range of events with something to suit everyone. 

Friday:

Main Ring - LOCALS DAY - events covering led and ridden ponies, galloways, hacks, hunter hacks and rider classes followed at Approximately 1.00pm with  novelties and jumping

No 2 Oval - Open Dressage - nominations close Friday 7 June.

Saturday:

Showjumping, Breed Classes including ASH (Championship Ribbons sponsored by East Moreton Branch ASHS) Thoroughbreds, ANSA, Paints, Pintos, Quarter Horses, Walers, MHAA ‘AA’ Classes, Shetlands, Andalusian Feature Show, Stud Ponies, Galloways, Hacks and Show Hunters. ‘Frilly Filly Browbands’ have kindly donated $50 gift vouchers for the Supreme Champion Hack and Supreme Champion Show Hunter Hack. For the first time Woodford Show will be welcoming competitors from Clydesdale Cross Sport Horse Association and Standardbred Association QLD. Harness classes will also be held as a variety of Heavy Horses will also be in attendance.

Western Open Performance Classes will be held in the Rodeo Arena where the inaugural ‘BILLIE (NELL) MAUNDRELL MEMORIAL ENCOURAGEMENT TROPHY’ will be presented in recognition of Billie’s involvement with the Woodford Show over many years.

FEATURE EVENT will be the Stockman’s Challenge - open to all horses - competitors will be required to work a dry pattern as well as a utility pattern - first prize $50 and a Diamond Wool Saddle Pad valued at $150.

Friday entertainment includes Farm Fantastic Games with great prizes and hosted by Jamie Dunn (Sponsored by Rural Steel Supplies)and Barrel Racing.

Saturday will see Cattle judging, heaps of other entertainment as well as Fire Works and Invitational Bull Ride and entertainment on Saturday night. Major attraction for Saturday will be a ‘Working Bullock Team’. Come along and see how the pioneers did things without today’s modern technology. A heavy horse demonstration will be held after the Grand Parade.
