His sire Casall ASK is one of the world’s leading sport horses – winning multiple Global Champions Tour events as well as numerous Grand Prix’s and placing at the FEI World Cup finals in 2012. Casall ASK has recently retired after a stellar career, world championship, the olympic games and the Global Tour. Calgary’s dam Countess competed in Germany, USA and Canada having great success before retiring. Her sire is Calato a great sire and rated even higher as a broodmare sire, Countess descends from the famed Stamm 173 (Vase/Ramzes) which is responsible for producing Capital, a stallion who still has a major impact on the sport. Read the Chris Hector book’ The Making of the Modern Warmblood’ and you can see the impact these families have had on the sport. Calgary GNZ has outstanding conformation, he is a very tall athletic horse with flashy markings and a strong colour. Calgary is going well under saddle showing tremendous movement and athleticism with great work ethic, his free jumping ability is something that needs to be seen and can be viewed on our website. This is very exciting horse of the future, a stallion that combines pedigrees type and ability with a super personality, who is producing magnificent foals. Calgary GNZ has stepped up to mini prix level after a 3 year hiatus after enduring two colic surgeries. He continues to go from strength to strength in the competition arena, and as a sire is proving to produce superior sporthorses, many of which are currently performing internationally at a high level in all olympic disciplines. Choice of Stallions: 2nd Stallion - Charlemagne Ego Z 2005 Grey 17 hh ACE Registered Charlemagne Ego Z (Calvaro Z/ Calvin Z) is a European pedigree in a stunning modern sport horse body. The pedigree of Charlemagne Ego Z is outstanding. He is by Calvaro Z (Caletto I / Capital)( dec), a horse that competed at the Olympics, World and European Championships, also winning Grand Prix and World Cup events throughout the world and a prolific sire of sporthorses. The dam of Charlemagne Ego Z is Capri Ego Z (exp). She is by Calvin Z (Caletto II / Roman ), a full brother in blood to the jumping progenitor Cantus, this too early deceased sire produced international horses and is proving to be a tremendous broodmare sire. The cross of Calvaro Z with Calvin Z gives Charlemagne Ego Z the interesting line breeding combination of the two Caletto brothers – both outstanding sires and horses. He shows outstanding rideability, great technique with amazing scope. He is now competing in World Cup classes and is a Grand Prix winner. He is being used by some of Australia’s leading riders and breeders. His foals are living up to expectations with great looks and movement. There is footage of Charlemagne Ego Z on our website – this is a true horse for the future. Choice of Stallions: 3rd Stallion - MASSIMO QUALITY (IMP) BWP 2012 17 hh Bay Really we shouldn’t be surprised, Massimo Quality is by French jumping star, Mylord Carthago, who has competed at the highest levels of show jumping throughout the world. Mylord Carthago is not only by the great Carthago, but out of the greatest broodmare in jumping history, Joris de Brabander’s Fragrance de Chalus. He is now a leading sire in Europe, with one of his progeny, Twentytwo Des Biches, was recently the runner up at the FEI world cup final in Omaha. Massimo’s dam line is just that – Quality! Quidam de Revel led the Selle Francais breakthrough. Suddenly jumping breeders all over the world wanted a French stallion, but not just any French stallion, international jumping star, and the number one jumping stallion on the World Rankings – Quidam. It gets better, on the next line we find the great Galoubet, and on the dam line, Tanagra, the Furioso daughter who also appears again on Massimo’s top line as the dam of Jalisco B. Massimo Quality has proven to be a winner in the ring, taking out a range of age classes and producing exceptional young stock, with one of his foals awarded elite status with the ACE group in 2017. This is jumping breeding at the cutting edge. This is the future of the sport. Choice of Stallions; 4th Stallion - CLARITY GNZ (IMP) 2013 Bay 16.2hh Clarity GNZ the newest addition to the stallion roster at Finch Farm. A son of Clearway a very refined son of Capitol 1 and out of the state premium mare, Wodka. Wodka is a member of one of the most important mare families in Holstein breeding. Clearway jumped to Grand Prix himself as well as being a prolific producer of progeny Grand Prix horses including Clarimo, 5* winner of Falsterbo. Clarity GNZ’s dam Santana is a magical cross of Casall ASK and Lux Z, both superstars in their own right. Casall ASK needs no introduction – his performance record with Rolf Goran-Bengston is unparalleled and he is dominant as a sire of jumping horses with multiple offspring jumping at 5* level. Lux Z an Olympic and WEG competitor and winner of the Pulsar Triple Crown competitions. As a sire Lux Z also has multiple notable international competitors. Calypso II consolidates the bottom line of the pedigree. Calypso II is a prominent sire who gave adds extra depth to the pedigree bringing both quality of movement and jump. Clarity GNZ is a beautiful type with an outstanding movement and jump we are very excited about his future in the sport and breeding.
