Lovely warmblood gelding by Glock's Romanov out of our beautiful imported Oldenburg mare Dalinea S (Sandro Hit/De Niro/Weltmeyer). WPH Rasmus (aka Ras dob 29.06.12) was imported in utero and is registered Oldenburg. He has a wonderful character and temperament and would suit a variety of disciplines including purpose bred dressage but he also has shown aptitude for a little jumping and going cross country (his dam is a spectacular showjumper and was competed by Stuart Tinney very successfully in the lower levels of eventing until injury forced retirement). Romanov is currently being competed by Hans Peter Minderhoud and narrowly missed out on a place on the Dutch Olympic Team for London 2012. Glock's Romanov's sire Rohdiamant now ranks as the third best producer of dressage horses thanks to his numerous offspring in international Grand Prix. Rasmus is an absolutely delightful horse in every way. He's easy to handle, quiet and friendly with stunning movement. And with a pedigree like this, he has Grand Prix champion written all over him.

We have brought him on very slowly due to his height and the fact that offspring of the stallion Romanov are quite late developers, but he is now ready to move forward in his training. Presently, he is able to compete Prelim and training Novice/Elementary. Ras has consolidated his leg yelds and is showing exceptional talent for the lateral movements of shoulder in, travers, renvers as well as turn on the haunches. He is extremely trainable, loves his trail rides out in the forest and is very keen on his polework, cavaletti and small jumps. He has recently been taken up to Vicki Roycroft for jump training and is proving to be a natural! A super hind leg and very powerful movement that will become more engaged as his balance and strength develops. Rasmus has a super work ethic and is everyone's favourite in the stable, just a lovely character!
