16th - Kubota Tractor Australia

Published on Thursday, December 16, 2010 in General

Kubota Tractor Australia has an extensive range of both petrol and diesel powered Zero Turn mowers which have performed strongly in the Australian mower market.

For customers requiring a smaller cut, Kubota has released the new diesel powered ZD221 to further broaden its product range and fill a market niche.

This new model uses the compact zero turn frame of the ZG200 series and is powered by a 21 horse power Kubota environmentally friendly diesel engine.

The ZD221 features professional cutting capabilities for a wide range of applications, including commercial and residential mowing.

This new compact ZD221 can operate at a maximum speed of 15 km per hour provided conditions are suitable. Featuring high performance shaft driven integral type twin hydrostatic transmissions and hydraulic PTO clutch as well as hands free operations of both the hydraulic deck lift and parking brake, the ZD221 is Kubota designed and built to handle a wide range of mowing tasks.

As with the ZD and ZG models already available the ZD221 is built to keep operators comfortable during even the longest working days. The ZD221 features an adjustable padded seat with arm rests and seat belt for operator protection and comfort.

Operators can work in style and comfort as the spacious operators platform has an uncluttered floor board to give ample leg room no matter the size of the operator. The user friendly instrument panel keeps essential controls and indicators close for easy access and viewing and comprises temperature gauge, hour meter, easy checker and fuel gauge -  not a common sight on conventional zero turn mowers.

The ZD221 is fitted with a 54” Pro commercial mower deck designed to maximize cutting performance. The 6” deep double belt driven decks feature a unique baffling system that improves airflow to discharge clippings, and an anti overflow system that reduces grass spillage and helps give lawns that well manicured look. Raising and lowering the mower deck is achieved by a simple push of a pedal to operate the hydraulic deck lift. Once raised, the one touch locking lever locks the deck into the transport position. Cutting height adjustment in quarter inch increments is as easy as rotating the cutting height dial.

Ease of maintenance has always been a high priority design requirement for Kubota and the ZD221 is no exception. The seat panel lifts up for quick access to the hydrostatic transmission while the hood opens for routine engine maintenance. A hatch in the operators platform makes upper mower deck access a snap. Kubota’s deck maintenance jacking system makes routine mower deck maintenance simple and easy.

With all of these features the ZD221 is sure to be another winner from Kubota in the race to obtain mower sales in the largest growing sector of the mower market
