Cargill Tyson Equestrian presents for sale “Dan” aka “Thousand Tales”. He is a 7yo (born 2014) 17.1hh approx TB gelding. Prior Experience Dan has previous competed up to 105cm show jumping and trained up to 115cm. He has schooled cross country up to 105cm. He is very well schooled on the flat with good basics and started lateral work. Paces Dan has above average paces. He has a good active walk with clear overtrack , a relaxed, swingy trot and a lovely comfortable canter with excellent ground cover. Dressage Training Rhythm - Dan maintains a regular and consistent rhythm in his work. He is responsive off the leg, happily changing rhythm within his paces. He is more woah than go but will get going when asked. Suppleness - He is willing to bend both ways and understands the basics of inside leg to outside connection. Contact - Dan is steady and secure yet light in the contact and has an uphill neck set with an attractive arch. He is very easy to ride in a frame, willing to stretch down or carry himself in a more collected outline. Jumping Dan is a straightforward jumper, he is honest and careful whilst also being bold to a fence. He tries really hard and is very rideable between fences. He doesn’t tend to get hot or strong when jumping but he is a big horse so does need someone confident to balance him between fences. He seems to have the disposition and trainability to progress through the eventing levels both quickly and successfully with the right rider. Rider Suitability Dan is an exciting performance prospect. He has everything going for him. He is an attractive, versatile and well schooled horse. He is enjoyable to ride, having very comfortable paces and a steady connection. He is genuine, and affectionate, and is really looking for a partner who will give him lots of attention, and go on to achieve so much as a team in whatever discipline they pursue. His straightforward attitude combined with his other outstanding qualities mean he should not be overlooked as an exciting performance prospect.
