Chap’s Dream aka Gigi

Approx 15.3hh, 6yo, TB mare by Dream Ahead out of Strum Cha (Stratum).

Gigi had 24 starts on the track before retiring in early July 2021. She came to me in mid July and has been an absolute pleasure to do everything with since.

When I first got her, I did a few weeks light work with her before she had a 2 month holiday to let down after racing.

Since then she’s been in full work other than a 2 week Christmas holiday.

She has had plenty of outings on her own and in a group situation. Been to dressage events, eventing and jumping shows.

Fine with other horses, microphones, bunting, gazebos, she is good in yards and always eats and drinks well when she’s away.

She is easy to catch, rug, feed, shoe (shod all round), truck & float etc.

The worse thing she will do is paw when bored either standing by the ring or at the float.

Gigi has 3 good paces and a very trainable brain which I believe will make her suitable for a confident pony club/arc type rider. Please no beginner or inexperienced riders.

Very sad sale as I hoped she would be a permanent part of my team but I don’t think she is going to be a careful enough jumper despite being very brave in both SJ and XC.

Results include:

• Reserve Champion Prelim @ JEA Dressage December 2021. Tests scored 72 and 74% (She wasn’t meant to go to this event but when my first 2 preferences of horses couldn’t go, she got a call up 2 days before!)
• 2nd Oxley EvA80 February 2022 (double clear)
• 1st Moyhu PC HT Grade 3 March 2022 (double clear)
• Double clear Ballarat Hunter Trials EvA80 December 2021
• Clear round in 75cm at Yarrawonga March 2022
• Clear rounds in 70 and 75 at NVSJC November 2021
