16.3hh, 11YO, ASB registered TB mare. Sire, Red Element, dam, Truce Time. Mia, as she is affectionately named, is a beautiful TB mare with a lot of potential for the dressage or show ring. A lovely mover with leg yields, turn on the four hand/ haunches, shoulder in established. Owned and ridden by a Para rider who has weekly lessons with a trainer. Mia is a Sweet mare, no buck/rear/kick/bite/bolt, but she is not suitable for beginners or nervous riders.
Still a little green in canter as she is ridden by a completely blind rider who doesn’t canter her often, but is currently working on this with another rider and is coming along nicely. Easy to catch/shoe/wash/lunge (will free lunge), however has issues with floating that we are currently working on. Is much better on a large or angle load float or truck due to her size. Mia has been to 1 show bringing home ribbons in every class including placing 3Rd in her first ever dressage test. Took everything in her stride for her first ever outing. Being a lovely type, mia would also make a lovely addition to your broodmare program. I purchased Mia over 2 years ago as a clean slate. She was prepped, but never raced and then just sat in the paddock with the occasional ride. She has learnt a lot since coming to me, but I have met my training limits and it’s time for her to move onto someone who can give her the time she needs. Up to date with teeth/worming/ farrier/ tetanus. In work and ready to go. A sad sale of a beautiful mare who will go far in the right hands.
