‘Ricky' exciting eventing or sj prospect Ricky is a 6yo unraced (trialled) thoroughbred gelding whom through no fault of his own is sadly offered for sale. He is green with minimal education under his belt therefore requires a rider with experience and understanding of young horses in order to unlock his full potential. Ricky has an extremely placid and beautiful nature with a burning desire to please, he learns incredibly fast when in consistent work. He will often meet you at the gate and is the biggest sweetheart with all members of the family, absolutely adoring attention and snuggles. Ricky loves to jump and I believe this is where he will excel (pictured his first time jumping!), has been out to trail rides with his previous owner and from what I’ve been told he took it all in his stride. I would say Ricky is quite sensible for a young thoroughbred, he has not tried anything nasty with me under saddle in the time I have owned him and whilst he does like to take the occasional look at new things - he is not one to be spooky. He is fantastic with and away from other horses, he is a general all round pleasure to have. A very hard sale as I’ve come to grow quite fond of him however I have realised I simply don’t have the skillset, consistency nor the time to successfully bring him along.
