Coco is a 6 rising 7yo stock horse x appaloosa mare. Coco was purchased as a 5yo having been professionally broken in and then ridden by a teenage girl who lost interest in riding. With her current owner, Coco has done mostly trail and pleasure riding but prior to that she had done clinics and trail riding. She is yet to compete, although feels ready to start her competition career! She has done beach riding, urban trails (obstacle course and trail riding alone and with company at many challenging local trails. Coco is very cute and chunky with good looks, and is very well put together. She is a hardy type with a nice shaped neck and good natural paces. She looks very eye-catching when working in an outline and is sure to draw attention out and about! Coco is very fun to train and ride on the flat working at around a prelim level showing potential to go well past this with an ambitious rider. She generally maintains good rhythm but can be on the lazier side. She accepts the leg and is happy to go when asked though. She is fairly supple and even both ways although still occasionally falls in, and she is good in the contact. She has started some basic lateral work and has a good attitude towards new things. Coco has been great to handle here with us. She is a very sweet mare that seems to love people and has been pleasure around the barn. She is only young so needs someone with a basic level of experience to keep her beautiful ground manners organised! Coco loads, travels and unloads well with experience on a straight load. She is currently shod and is well behaved for the farrier. She has only just commenced her jumping career here with us and is an absolute natural already popping confidently over 60cm. Although Coco is a very sweet, genuine mount she is still young and green and can do an occasional shy so she is not suitable for beginners or very nervous riders. She is only for sale as her current rider doesn't feel she is giving Coco the time or training she deserves as a young horse. We would love to see her with an intermediate + or confident novice rider where she can really develop and excel in their chosen discipline as she is a talented, versatile little mare ready for pleasure or performance, and a whole lot of fun along the way!
