Unicorn for Sale “Dusty”

Approx 14 hh, 6yo, Clydesdale x Welsh. Eventing, showjumping, dressage, pony club - he excels at everything we ask of him. Dressage scores are generally 65-75, he rarely knocks a showjumping rail and doesn't baulk at anything in X country. 

Our daughter has had a huge amount of fun on Dusty and they have developed together over the past few years from beginners to very competitive and consistent D grade jumping, eventing and preliminary dressage. He is ready to keep competing and to take that journey again with another budding equestrian aged 9 and up. 

Dusty is truly a unicorn, he is safe and perfect for a rider to progress to their second pony and competition and success. Most recent successes this year include Coona Expo 2024 1st Place EV65 and ribbons in every event he entered in -  Showjumping 60cm 3rd place Power and speed and 5th A2 against bigger horses and up to Y12, 2nd Horse most suitable for expo,  5th team hunt, 5th for rider, 5th pair of riders, Interschools OAGS Combined Training senior school champion 60cm (straight out of the paddock!), Zone 3 Pony Club D Grade Showjuming Champion and Reserve Champion Preliminary Dressage, 2nd place Harden Pony Club ODE 60cm, 9th Wagga Horse Trials 65cm. 

Rides like a much older horse and has so many years of competitive riding ahead.

Always safe, he is a rider’s best friend, Mums favourite, and willing traveller and performer at anything we take him to – PC State dressage, PC State gymkhana, dressage, showjumping, Schoolies, one day events, trail rides, Pony Club and just having fun. Curious, fun to have about, no fuss and 3 impressive paces. Great feet, no shoes, no medical issues, no founder ever even when he eats too much. Up to date with teeth (5/2024) and farrier (9/2024). He is strong particularly on the ground (when being taken away from his buddies) so not suitable for a completely beginner rider. Perfect second horse. Curious around the yards and lovely company. Currently ridden by 14 y/o who has ridden him since she was 9 and is now moving on to a larger horse. We love him and will only let him go to the best of homes. Price $19,500. Update We turned Dusty out for the winter as we had a new bigger horse to bring along. The new horse was lame so we brought Dusty literally from the paddock for 8 weeks straight to a comp and he won a rug for Secondary School 60cm Combined training, ribbons in showjumping and lots of fun at 6 bar. Little champ. Turning him out has been so good for him - he is strong and willing and looking great (see recent photos from Narrandera/Wagga from August 2024). We will be taking him to Pony Club State Showjumping in Camden on 31 August.
