Tommy is a 14.1 and a smidgen hh station bred, rising 6yo pinto gelding. Tommy was given to a local family as a mount for their 8yo tiny daughter when he was a 3yo, but he was just too green and inexperienced for them to go to Pony Club. So we bought Tommy as a project mainly because mum just loves patchy pony's. He has been here for almost a year, just giving him a ride when we get the chance. But he has now had 3 really good sessions of work in the last 6 months and we feel that he is ready for his new home. He is a very stoic, kind and gentle pony who is a great size to suit many applications. He is one of those ponies that everyone falls in love with the first time they meet him. There is no dirt or nasties in this boy what so ever, he is a gentleman in every way. He has lovely even paces, not too forward but not too slow, just right. He is just a little green and needs some time and exposure and he will be a ripper of a kids pony. Anyone with half a clue will have a ball with this little fella. He is very friendly and is always the first horse to the gate when he is out in the big paddocks, never ever a problem to catch no matter who or how many other horses are in with him. He loves attention and really melts when you fuss over him, giving him a brush, a wash or a little massage. He is great to stable, rug, float and tie up anywhere for any length of time with no fuss at all, the kids can do it all too. As a 3yo, he was ridden by kids with one ride by an adult, straight out of the paddock after 12 months off, following being broken in. We have never seen this horse be piggy, matey, and/or nasty about anything at all. He is usually a very chilled out little guy. When he first came here, we felt that he was worried about cantering under saddle, so we did have to do work on getting his confidence back. We have 20 other horses and have so many youngsters to work on over Summer, so to pay for a few vet bills we have decided to put Tommy on the market. He has recently been ridden by a 11yo beginner boy and was faultless for the entire day. We are thrilled with this boy and love him to death. He is very low maintenance, a good doer (loves food) and happy no matter where you put him. He is my daughter’s favorite horse to ride at the moment, it is just a shame he is not 17hh. We have put a lot of time into this boy and we are very proud of what he is today. This pony will not disappoint. Chiro, teeth, drench and farrier all up to date. Asking $9500 ONO. Phone 0437 431622.
