Regretful sale of my beautiful Rose Noir. Rose is an 11 year old, black, Friesian/Morgan (50/50) mare of approx 15.2 hands (not officially measured). Rose is registered AFWHS and Morgan Horse Society. She is not marey and is an absolute sweetheart on the ground and easy to do anything with (catch, float, feet, worm). Rose has always been barefoot and is an excellent doer, she runs on the smell of grass. The only time Rose has seen a vet (other than teeth and vacc), is for a fence injury when she was younger (see photo). This does not affect her movement.
Whilst she is easy on the ground, Rose requires an experienced rider to get the best out of her. She can get a bit anxious, rushy and elevated at times, and does have the occasional spook. I feel this would improve with the consistent work that I haven’t been able to give her. Rose has done groundwork clinics, a couple of shows and a small amount of adult riding club. She has been out on the trail a bunch and I’ve even ridden her to Duffy shops for a sausage roll.
I have been doing lessons on Rose with a view to using her for dressage, and although she has potential and some lovely movement at times, she still has some way to go (but that’s not her fault and is due to inconsistent riding).
Rose is being sold in current paddock condition and is located at CEC in Canberra. I am selling as priorities and finances have changed.
This is an extremely difficult sale - no time wasters please. Whilst price is somewhat negotiable, home is absolutely not.
