Sadly the time has come to readvertise my one in a million pony. He is my heart and soul and had a beautiful home lined up but the family has fallen on financial difficulties.
Pumba is a registered piebald Shetland gelding who just didn't stop growing, standing at 11.1hh (yes he is overheight for a Shetland). He is 5yo and an absolute diamond, from the time he was broken in at 2.5yo he was ridden by complete beginners, he has been here, there and everywhere, he won in halter at nationals in Sydney prior to his growth spurt that put him over height, he's won all the child's fun classes you can imagine at shows and gymkhanas, he's taken a young beginner around at a rodeo barrel racing. From showing to chasing cows he does it all. He has taught kids to ride from not being able to post to the trot to cantering and popping over small jumps. He is a natural and adores the love and affection of families and kids. It saddens me that I cannot offer him this and I feel he is wasted, he babysits my foals and is the most gentle soul (but will boss around a bigger pony or horse), but I don't breed enough foals to keep him just for this purpose.
You can ride him in English or western saddles and gear, pony pads, halters, bitless bridles and everything in between, he's also safe to ride totally bridleless (and tackless). Has beautiful brakes, soft mouth, goes forward willingly but isn't a forward moving pony in a hurry, super laid back and relaxed paces. Trot poles, cones, tarps, tractors, motorbikes, trucks, nothing phases this boy. Is also broken to sulky, has been both ridden and driven on the roads extensively. Can give him months off and just hop on, never work him down, take him anywhere, catches you, ties up anywhere all day, good to trim and shoe, easy to float, wash, clip, ponies other horses off him and can be led off others.
I am yet to fault this pony, I really can't say anymore, the video speaks for itself, 100% genuine sad sale, references available to ensure honest seller and vet checks welcome, he is 100% sound, drug free etc etc.
Would suit lead rein right through to 2nd or 3rd pony, he really is one in a million.
I won't sell to first time horse owners so please don't ask and YES he is suitable for BEGINNERS!!
If you are coming to ride or view please keep your child on a lead rein if they do not have an independent seat and hands, this is only fair on our wonderful pony to avoid confusion and unnecessary pulling on his mouth for rider balance (I have sent potential buyers away for this reason, he is too nice of a pony)
$7000 worth every cent, short term payment plan may be available to 5 star horse home
