KC is a beautifully well bred and extremely well educated pony. She has a soft, snaffle mouth, established lateral movements, flying changes and a fantastic medium trot. KC is balanced and perfectly put together, safe and brave.
KC has an enormous amount of experience in the show world - through to Royal and Grand National level. She was bought sight unseen, three years ago, during COVID by her current owners. When the new owners took her showing, she immediately got very hot and extremely anxious. If she felt jammed up, she could jack up and pig root.
Over the last three years, her current owners have worked with KC and she is now very safe, reliable and straightforward to ride. Their daughter competes KC in pony club (including gymkhanas and show ring events), eventing and dressage. KC loves this life and has been very successful. She is also fabulous on trails and loves having fun. The owners feel that KC is reliable and trustworthy ‘out and about’ in these environments with their daughter.
KC is easy to handle, wash, shoe, catch, float. She can be snarly when stabled and can be ‘marey’ when on season but is still safe to handle.
KC is sound, not on any medications or supplements. Full vet checks, xrays and blood tests are more than welcome.
KC’s current rider is confident and capable. She rides with soft hands and a quiet seat. The rider likes a confident, educated and forward horse. Unfortunately, KC’s rider has outgrown her and moved on to a warmblood. She loves KC and will keep riding her until she sells.
KC’s owners keep her in a routine. They do not lunge KC as she hates it and she doesn’t need working down for events. The owners do not do straight showing/ hacking or agricultural shows, which upset KC.
KC’s owners paid $15k, three years ago but realize that the home they are looking for is a very special one and are prepared to make a big compromise on price and wait to find it! They are looking for a home with:
- a capable, confident, unflappable older child or small adult rider with soft hands and independent seat;
- a focus on dressage, eventing or pony club/ NO SHOWING unless at a gymkhana
- routine, a sensible feeding regime that doesn’t heat her up, access to a paddock at least 12 hours each day
- no lunging/ working down
