Meet Milly, aka Little Miss Glamorous, 13.2hh black Australian Riding Pony mare (reg A37556/22), rising 6, bred by successful show breeder Louise McNeish Bundaberg from impeccable UK bloodlines, by the magnificent Victoria Tower Wishlist out of Little Paddocks Symphony (pls refer show pix). She’s taken right after her dad!
She had 4 outings last year with her trainer & previous owner, Lauren Beerling, competing in Preliminary Dressage and scoring between 64-67%. She was last working on lateral movements & walk to canter when offered for sale due to down-sizing.
I bought her to be my perfect soulmate, we clicked immediately & have developed a very trusting relationship concentrating on everyday groundwork, handling & desensitizing to human things like tarps & stablea, she now loves her stable & is no longer scared of thunderstorms (yay!). She loves to visit the patio & can safely navigate around furniture & through narrow pathways. She's at home in a human environment now too. She also easily developed the attachment of her first 1:1 relationship and talks vocally to me all the time. She's more than ready to go on with her education in any or all disciplines, but at age 66 I have developed vertigo and am unable to ride her, sadly it can't be with me. This has been a heart-breaking decision.
Milly is best suited to an experienced lightweight teen or adult in any discipline. During free-runs she will naturally jump anything in the paddock, can sprint sideways around the well & stop on a dime in front of me so definitely include sports & reining! She has foundation dressage training so the possibility for the right rider is a perfect little eventer, Dressage/Show-Jumping/Cross-Country. She’s perfect. She’s fast. She’s brave. She's smart. She’s inquisitive & loves to climb up things. She’s very affectionate & will doze off under a long ear rub. She’s looking mighty regal & shiny in her slightly fluffy winter coat, is currently rugged & stabled overnight and is in well-fed but un-worked condition.
Milly is not for beginners though, she requires an advanced rider to guide her as she’s young and still a little green having been broken in at 4yrs & only periodically brought in for work, and she's a quality mare.
This is the perfect time for her new owner to imprint with her in their chosen field. Good for farrier (strong barefoot hooves) & with floating. Not scared of tarps or umbrellas, tight spaces, loud music, drums, low-flying helicopters or bonfires & will walk into the house if we leave the door open.
She comes with all her top gear - 4 rugs, diamante browband black leather snaffle bridle, brand new professionally fitted black 16.5” Cavalier AP saddle, plus a brand new $400 black & teal English leather bit-less bridle all the way from the UK.
I have short videos that clearly show her beautiful sweet & sassy self, and in full disclosure a zoomie tantrum being dropped by responding quickly to voice. She's a lone horse here so she can fret if I'm not home when she calls. That beautiful little mare worrying I forgot about her dinner is as bad as it gets, she's a willing sweetheart. You'll know when you meet her. She lunges to voice also. I will send the videos directly upon request by genuine interest.
